About This In-Person Seminar
This training is designed to provide clinicians with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively support clients struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of different types of eating disorders, the impact of body image and diet culture, and the principles of the Health at Every Size (HAES) framework. The session will include practical interventions and techniques, along with a hands-on body image activity that demonstrates the application of self-compassion to client work. Whether working in individual or group settings, clinicians will leave equipped with actionable strategies to make a positive impact.

- Explore the various types of eating disorders and their unique characteristics.
- Examine the influence of body image, body shaming, and diet culture on the development and perpetuation of eating disorders.

Meet the Presenter
Bri Tomaszewski, LSW
Bri Tomaszewski is a licensed social worker specializing in eating disorders and body image concerns. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Aurora University. Her experience includes working in agencies focused on teen pregnancy, child welfare, private practice, and psychiatric outpatient programs. Bri has worked with individuals struggling with eating disorders at various levels of care, including Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient settings. She incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support clients in their recovery. Bri is passionate about helping individuals develop a healthier relationship with food and their bodies, striving to create a safe, supportive space for healing. She is currently working toward her Eating Disorder Specialist certification and hopes to obtain her clinical license within the year.
