About This In-Person Seminar
This presentation is designed to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize and address implicit bias in their practice. Participants will gain a clear understanding of what implicit bias is and explore common types of biases that often arise in healthcare settings. Through engaging discussions and real-world examples, the session will highlight the significant effects implicit bias can have on the quality of care and outcomes for patients.

Meet the Presenter
Joshua Zeller, SCP
Josh is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management and over 20 years of experience in the Human Resource field. He has worked primarily in healthcare settings over the course of his career. Josh has designed and facilitated multiple training courses, including Sexual Harassment Awareness, Promoting a Diverse Work Culture, An HR Guide to Discrimination in the Employee Cycle, What is Retaliation, and Implicit Bias Awareness. Josh has been the Director of Human Resources for Family Counseling Service in Aurora, IL since the summer of 2023 and particularly enjoys fostering an environment of continuing education and growth for all employees.
